James Beadles heads the team at Spectrum, he comes from a promotions, marketing and business development background where he has had a unique experience of dealing with blue-chip companies and the National Press, both broadsheets and tabloids. With 18 years as a locksmith and 11 of those years, heading Spectrum he has had his work cut-out, working for the MOD, Colchester Castle and various high-end clients. James is known to have enjoyed the service background of previous employment and as such, he able to give all of his customers the rich service that Spectrum can provide within the industry.

Spectrum was established in 1980, and as such have enjoyed working in Colchester and the surrounding areas in both the Public and Private Sectors, for both domestic and private clients (eg. from Colchester Museums Resource Centre to Churches and Schools and the university in the area and a number of established businesses and family homes that stretch over a 50-mile radius from Colchester centre).

We are Locksmiths, CCTV engineers and Intruder Alarm engineers. We will supply, install, maintain and troubleshoot systems, with a degree of experience that comes with decades from each engineer. We operate from a workshop based in Magdalen Street, that if you have driven through Colchester you are bound to have driven past. The difference between us and most, is that we do a lot of fabrication in all areas that we cover, to make the system work for you and to try and pass on any savings to the customer.
