Here at Nexus, we’ve always prized ourselves on the friendly, family-like nature of our network. When you become a Nexus member, you don’t just become a member of a group of like-minded business-owners, you also become a member of one, big, business-savvy family.
That family has consistently been committed to raising awareness and funds for our three chosen local charities: Brainwave, Carer’s Trust, and Sawyers Church. These three charities contribute so much to our local communities, ranging from organising community events, supporting valuable unpaid carers, and providing disabled children with crucial and expert therapy programmes. All of this is done without government funding. And, as local business-owners who take pride in our community and want to see it succeed, all our members regularly contribute their time, resources and money to help is meet our target of raising £10,000 per charity, by the end of this year.
This family ethos has never been clearer than at our Nexus BBQ held last Saturday, in aid of Brainwave, Carer’s Trust, and Sawyers Church. Many Nexus members attended, at the invite of Pauline and Rob Browring, who graciously opened up their home (and garden) to us all, as well as putting on a fantastic spread of food. It was a fantastic afternoon, and never before has their been such a display of community spirit from a networking group. You see, at Nexus, we do things differently – we’re not just networking connections, we’re family.
If you’d like to join our family, and contribute toward the hard work of raising money for our local communities, contact Paul Lomas on 07807 494530, or email paul.lomas@energycentric.co.uk to try out your first Nexus meeting.
