Did you know that living a positive life can be as simple as what we tell ourselves? So if you’re not quite embracing HashtagPositivity, then maybe you’re not giving yourself the good vibes you deserve.

Self-talking might be known as the first signs of going mad, but in this sense, what you believe in is more important than what the world is telling us. After all, we’re the only ones that can change our own individual outlook from day to day and eventual destiny in life.

Although, hold on one moment, don’t go thinking that a touch of the self belief is arrogant or up one’s own bottle and glass. Self belief is what drives us forward, what takes us to the next level in business, this is #positivity at its finest!

All about Positvity

Infact, positivity stands for ‘the practice of being or tendency to be positive or optimistic in attitude’ according to Google, now how often are they wrong?

In all seriousness, #positivity can impact on your health, well-being and overall performance for the better. However, this doesn’t stop our brains being hard-wired to look for and focus on threats. This survival mechanism served humankind well back when we were hunters and gatherers, living each day with the very real threat of being killed by someone or something in our immediate surroundings. But in this day an age, the closest near death experience in your working environment (depending on your profession) is burning yourself on the kitchen kettle…

Today, this mechanism breeds pessimism and negativity through the mind’s tendency to wander until it finds a threat. These “threats” magnify the perceived likelihood that things are going—and/or are going to go—poorly. But is an element of this to do with what we are telling ourselves?

Positivity matters

So, let’s take a look at ten examples of what we’re not saying and what we should be saying to install our new ethos within our business ventures:

  1. I am confident
  2. It’s time to move forward
  3. I am responsible for my own happiness
  4. I don’t compare myself to others
  5. I can ask for help
  6. I am human; I make mistakes
  7. It’s OK to change my mind
  8. I deserve it; why settle for less
  9. I am capable of setting my own priorities
  10. I make great decisions

These processes will come naturally after some practice, you have the ability to make a change and not settle for a life that isn’t what you want. So, the question is, are you ready to make the change?
