The Nexus Golf Team came out on top at the Charity Golf Day, held at Stockbrook Golf & Country Club in Billericay on Monday 11th May.  Competitors were blessed with good weather, a beautiful venue and fantastic food, as they engaged in lightly competitive rounds of the relaxing game, all in the name of one of our chosen charities: the Brainwave Centre.

Brainwave offers therapy to children with disabilities and additional needs to help them reach their potential and what makes us different is that our therapists show the parents how to do the therapy at home and the results we see are amazing.  It costs Brainwave £3,500 per year per child to keep on our exercise therapy programmes and we do not receive any Government funding so this money raised will go towards enabling us to continue offering our therapy service to the lovely children and their families that we see at our south east of England Centre based in Witham, Essex.

The event raised £1,040 for Brainwave, as well as raising awareness of their vitally important services. Nexus members John Miller and Danny Nevill – avid golfers, as well as top entrepreneurs – were on the winning team, and we offer them our congratulations for their brilliant work.

This event has been just one of the many that Nexus members have taken part in, and will continue to take part in, on behalf of our three chosen charities. If you’d like to get more involved with our work within our communities, feel free to contact Paul Lomas on 07807 494530 or email paul.lomas@energycentric.co.uk and try out your first Nexus meeting.
