Break out the ballgowns and dust off the tuxedos – this year’s Annual Nexus Charity Ball is set to be yet another wonderful night of fundraising and fun. Held at the beautiful Orsett Hall Hotel on Saturday 6th November 2015, the evening includes a variety of entertainment, a three course meal, wine, raffle and auction.
The Nexus Ball was set up to raise money for our three named charities – Carers Trust, Brainwave, and Sawyers Church. Throughout the year Nexus members have participated in a variety of charitable events to support their local charities, including the 24-hour Spin Challenge, and the Nuclear Races.
This years goal is to raise £30k for all three charities, equating to £10k per Nexus charity – an ambitious target, true, but with your help this can be achieved. You can support a great cause by simply attending this year’s Nexus Ball at the cost of just £55 per person.
The entertainment for the evening will be provided by one of our very own members, Nigel Kirby, who will be singing “Ratpack” songs for us. Award-winning entrepreneur, James Eder, will be our after-dinner speaker, and of course there will be a DJ so you can dance into the wee hours.
We also have a professional compere and auctioneer and there will be some very special auction lots available to bid for, in both a live and a silent auction. The auction lots so far include 2 weeks in a cottage in France, a signed and framed “Only Fools and Horses” photograph and a weekend break on the Eurostar to Paris in a 4* hotel. Those items are in addition to the sporting memorabilia that will be available to bid on.
The whole evening is for three great causes that Nexus members have worked hard all year round to raise money in aid of, and we hope you’ll agree that the ticket price is great value for money. Just visit the Nexus Ball website to book your tickets now. We look forward to seeing you there!
